Welcome! My name is Katya Budzinski, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges through mental health therapy.  After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Georgetown University, I earned my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University (with distinction) and have been practicing in the Chicagoland area for over five years. I'm looking forward to continuing my work as a downtown loop therapist, where I can support individuals in overcoming life's challenges and achieving mental wellness.

In our sessions (whether they are in-person or online), I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe exploring your thoughts and feelings. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, communication or work conflict, or just need an opportunity to unpack your thoughts, I am here to actively listen, offer guidance, and help you achieve your goals.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Humanistic and Experiential Therapy. A more detailed description of these techniques can be found in the FAQ section.

Outside of work I enjoy reading, running, and spending time with my husband and two children.
